I'm a family, newborn, maternity and couples photographer based in Launceston, Tasmania, and honestly, I can't imagine doing anything else.
Growing up I was the youngest of five kids in Hadspen, and photos just weren't really a thing in our house. I could count on one hand the number of photos that exist of me as a kid. I didn't really think much of it at first, but then I became a mum and it really hit me.
Now I have three little ones of my own, and I understand in a way I never could before how fast it all goes. Yesterday I was giving birth to my oldest. Today he and his sister are in school and my youngest is a little toddler terrorist. Photos aren't just nice to have. They're how you hold onto those fleeting moments in time.
That's why I do this. I love capturing those special moments that will bring a smile to your face every time you look at the photo, whether that's in ten weeks, ten months or ten years. I want every family I photograph across Launceston and Tasmania to have something real to look back on. Not stiff, posed portraits where everyone looks slightly uncomfortable. Real moments. The chaos, the cuddles, the in-between bits that make your family yours.
And I promise you this. You will look back on these photos and smile. Every single time.
I want you to feel completely at ease from the moment you reach out. Here's what the whole process looks like, start to finish.
You fill in my enquiry form, I read every single word, and I get back to you within 48 hours. We'll have a quick call or email exchange to make sure we're a great fit and to talk through what you're hoping for.
I'll help you figure out the best location, time of day, and what to wear. I'll send you a little guide with all my tips so you feel completely prepared and not at all stressed.
On the day, I take care of everything. You just show up and be yourselves. I'll guide you gently, make the kids laugh, and create a space where real moments can happen.
Within 3–4 weeks, you'll receive your online gallery of beautifully edited images. You'll be able to download, share, and order prints directly from there. And yes, I'll want to see which ones you love most.
My fuel
I run on coffee. I'm not fussy about how it comes, I just need it.
How I unwind
A solid doom scroll after the kids are in bed. No shame.
Favourite movie
Marley & Me. Gets me every single time. Every. Single. Time.
Guilty pleasure
A midnight chocolate snack in bed. I will never apologise for it.
Most embarrassing mum moment
My son once announced to an entire public toilet how bad my poo smelled. We don't talk about that day.
Something unexpected
I don't like change. At all. Ironic for someone whose whole job is capturing life as it changes.
If I wasn't a photographer
A stay at home mum. Actually, I basically am one. Just with a camera.
My love language
Words of affirmation and acts of service. Compliment my photos and make me a coffee and we'll be best friends.
